As a traditional, community pub, we at the Valiant Sailor are thrilled to be opening our doors on Christmas Day to welcome you in our festive celebrations! Join us for great food, warm cheer, and the joyful spirit of Christmas upon the White Cliffs, for a magical day with family and friends.

Included in your booking will be a Christmas cracker for each person, and to make your Christmas Day extra special, each guest will receive a complimentary glass of fizz once seated (or a soft drink, for those with a preference or who are under the legal age). After your meal, we'll finish the celebration with a warm mince pie served with fresh cream - the perfect sweet ending to a cosy early afternoon.

Booking & Deposit

To secure your Christmas Day table, we ask for a non-refundable deposit of £10 per person. Your booking is confirmed once we’ve received your deposit.

Pre-Order & Final Payment

To ensure everything is perfect on the day, we require a full food pre-order by 10 December. The final payment is due no later than 15 December. Any bookings made after this date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Changes & Cancellations

Please confirm your final numbers by 15 December. Reductions after this date will still be charged, while increases are subject to availability. Deposits are non-refundable, and cancellations after 15 December will incur the full charge for your booking.

Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking or when submitting your pre-order. While we take care to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee allergen-free dishes.

Arrival & Service

We ask that guests arrive on time to ensure a smooth, relaxed dining experience. Tables are allocated for a specific period (typically around 2 hours) so everyone can enjoy the day comfortably. After serving your Christmas Day feast, our team will be enjoying their own festive celebrations. To make sure they get to share the holiday with their families, the pub will close shortly after service. Thank you in advance for being mindful of this.

Children

We wish for your children to enjoy their time with us too, and so we ask that you highlight how many children will be a part of your table so we can discuss menu options with you.

Service Charge

A 12.5% discretionary service charge will be added to the total of your bill. This helps us reward our team for their hard work on Christmas Day. While discretionary, it is standard practice and greatly appreciated by our staff.
